  24. I've heard everything now.  The MacOS doesn't support extensions?  Let me 
  25. see, perusing through the Inside Mac CD-ROM I see sections explaining how 
  26. to write extensions.  Looking through my System Folder I see a folder 
  27. called "Extensions" and plenty of Apple extensions in it.  The only thing
  28. that Copland will add is a way to keep extensions from crashing the 
  29. system.  Right now, the AmigaOS and the MacOS are in the same boat with lack
  30. of memory protection.

  32. Extensions/inits have been the standard way to add drivers and change or add
  33. parts to the OS since System 6 or earlier.

  45. has been scriptable for at least two years.
